Is Keep2Share legit? Who runs it

Keep2Share's Terms of Service name the company behind the service:

• Operator: VITADIGITAL LTD, Registration No. HE459277, Nicosia, Cyprus (Terms of Service, last updated 19 December 2022).
• History: the About us page says the service was founded in 2013.
• Copyright: Keep2Share has a DMCA policy. It says it removes content it believes infringes copyright and ends service for users who upload such content repeatedly.
• Support: the help center at help.k2s.cc has a knowledge base on downloads, payments and accounts.

Keep2Share also runs an official reseller program: its help article "May I resell premium accounts?" invites resellers to sell subscription activation codes. Fileboom, TezFiles and PrimePlus belong to the same group.

Are payments on Keep2Share safe?

Keep2Share's privacy policy says your payment details never reach Keep2Share itself:

Two things to know before you pay on k2s.cc:

• Some plans renew automatically. The 3-day trial, 30-day and 90-day plans are recurring subscriptions; the trial turns into a paid 30-day subscription. See Keep2Share free trial and auto-renew for how to cancel.
• Voucher codes never renew. A code from a reseller is used once, so there is no subscription to cancel.

Can Keep2Share downloads have viruses?

Files on Keep2Share are uploaded by its users, not by Keep2Share. Its Terms of Service:

• forbid uploading or sharing anything that contains viruses or other harmful code, and say accounts that do so can be terminated;
• also say Keep2Share does not routinely screen uploaded content and does not guarantee that it is not harmful, so using it is at your own risk.

On the official plan table, "Resumable & secure downloads" is listed as "Virus-checked only" for free users and included in Premium Max. Keep2Share does not explain this further.

In practice:

• Scan downloaded files with security software before opening them, especially programs (.exe and similar).
• Free users see ads; Premium Max is ad-free, according to the same table.
• Keep2Share cannot be searched. Its FAQ says only the uploader gets a file's link and decides who can see it, so files come from links that other sites post.
• Only download what you are allowed to have. Downloading pirated copies of copyrighted works is illegal in many countries, including Japan.

Can my Keep2Share account be banned?

Yes, for breaking the rules. From the Terms of Service and help center:

Use a password you do not use anywhere else, and do not log in to your account on shared devices.

How to buy Keep2Share Premium safely

Keep2Share's help center says Premium can be bought on its official premium page, k2s.cc/premium. The other route is a voucher code from a reseller, which you enter at k2s.cc/auth/activationcode. If a code from a reseller does not work, Keep2Share asks you to contact the reseller first.
