The short answer
Katfile Premium removes download speed limits and waiting time, and lets you download files up to 200GB with no limit on simultaneous downloads (as shown on the official site in October 2026).
On the official site, the 30-day plan shows as a $25.99 one-time payment (no auto-renewal) on the card payment screen. Only Visa and Mastercard are accepted.
To use a premium key, log in, open "My Account", paste it into the "Apply Premium Key" field and click "Apply". Note that Katfile says downloading over a VPN connection is not supported.
What Katfile Premium gives you

- No download speed limit
- No download queue
- Download files up to 200GB

You can download with a free account, but "My Account" shows a daily traffic allowance of about 2GB (2050MB). For large files, Premium is the practical choice.

Buying on the official site
The Premium page on the official site has three plans: 30 days, 365 days and lifetime. The price appears after you choose a plan and click a payment method. When we chose the 30-day plan with card payment, it showed $25.99 as a one-time payment ("ONE TIME PAYMENT - NO RECURRING", meaning no auto-renewal) (as of October 2026).
The card payment screen offers only Visa and Mastercard. JCB and American Express are not shown. Other payment options include PayPal, Alipay/WeChat Pay, cryptocurrency and resellers in various countries. Card payment is not made on the Katfile site; you are sent to an external payment page.
Buying from a reseller
You can also buy a premium key from a reseller in Japan and enter it in your own account. RapidQuick offers these durations:
| Duration | Good for |
|---|---|
| Trial (2 days) | Testing the speed first |
| 7 days | Heavy use for a short time |
| 30 to 180 days | Use over several months |
| 365 and 730 days | Use for one to two years |
| 10000 days (lifetime) | Long-term use without buying again each time |
Our prices are in Japanese yen with tax included. We accept JCB, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay and more. A key adds a fixed number of days one time and does not auto-renew.
We sell two types, "Normal" and "PRO". See the durations and prices on the Katfile Premium (Normal) product page and the Katfile Premium (PRO) product page.
How to use a premium key
- After you buy from RapidQuick, find your premium key in the email and on your account page.
- Log in to Katfile (katfile.biz). If you don't have an account, create one for free with "Sign Up".
- Open "My Account" in the top menu.
- Paste the key into the "Apply Premium Key" field and click "Apply" on the right.
You can change the display language from the flag menu at the top right. The field is in the same place whether the page is in English, Japanese or Chinese.
When you paste the key, make sure there are no spaces or line breaks before or after it.
Downloads fail on a VPN
The Katfile home page has this notice: "Be aware that VPN connections for download is not supported".
- If downloads fail while your VPN is on, turn the VPN off and try again.
- Browser extensions and the proxy features of security software can have the same effect.
What to check if downloads are slow or stop working
- Is Premium active? Open "My Account" and check that you are logged in to the account where you entered the premium key. If you are logged in to a different account, you are treated as a free user.
- VPN or proxy: As above, downloading over a VPN connection is not supported.
- Are you still logged in? If you switched browsers or haven't used it for a while, log in again.
- Your connection: If speed tests on other sites are also slow, the problem is your connection.
If a key you bought from RapidQuick can't be applied, contact us with your order number.
Is Katfile safe?
The official Katfile site is encrypted with HTTPS, and secure HTTPS downloads are one of the listed Premium benefits. Points to watch:
- Payment: Card payment on the official site is made on an external payment page. If you'd rather not enter your card details on an overseas site, you can buy from a reseller in Japan.
- Downloaded files: Files on file-sharing services are provided by whoever uploaded them. Scan executable files (.exe and similar) with security software before opening them.
- Copyrighted content: Katfile's official FAQ forbids uploading copyrighted content. In Japan, downloading a file you know was uploaded illegally is also illegal.
